Flavour
Savoury - herbaceous - mildly bitter
Provenance
We source this rosemary from our partner farmers in Piemonte, northern Italy. Herbs are an essential part to Italian cuisine and many are native to the Mediterranean region. Rosemary thrives in slightly cooler climates (including here in the UK) and so the mountainous region of northern Italy offers perfect growing conditions for this herb.
Usage
In order to get the best out of our spices, we've included a QR code on the side of the glass jar label. This links back to our website with rosemary cooking tips & recipe ideas. The cooking tips give you ideas on how to season your food in different ways with rosemary. The recipe ideas focus around seasonal, vegetarian eating to help with a more balanced, sustainable diet.
Packaging
All spices are available in both glass jars and refill pouches. Packaging is either recyclable or compostable. The refill pouches are the exact same quantity as the jars so you only have to buy the jar once, or not at all if you already have your own.
Design
The main benefit of buying our glass jars are the QR codes & artwork on the labels which is curated and designed by local Bristol artist & illustrator Hannah Grace. Our jars have 4 different designs, each representing a landscape from where our spices are sourced.
