Provenance
We import these organic White Peppercorns directly from our partner farmer co-operative in Kerala, India. White pepper is from the exact same plant and berry as black pepper, only that the skin is removed after soaking. We've set up our own supply chains with farmers so we can guarantee fair pay & full traceability, as well as a consistently great tasting product. Find out more about our sourcing here.
Usage
In order to get the best out of our spices, we've included a QR code on the side of the glass jar label. This links back to our website with white pepper cooking tips & recipe ideas. The cooking tips give you ideas on how to season your food in different ways with our organic white pepper. The recipe ideas focus around seasonal, vegetarian eating to help with a more balanced, sustainable diet.
Packaging
All spices are available in both glass jars and refill pouches. Packaging is either recyclable or home compostable. The refill pouches are the exact same quantity as the jars so you only have to buy the jar once, or not at all if you already have your own jars.
Design
The main benefit of buying our glass jars are the QR codes & artwork on the labels which is curated and designed by local Bristol artist & illustrator Hannah Grace. Our jars have 4 different designs, each representing a landscape from where our spices are sourced.
