Chinese BBQ Cooking Tips

Cooking Ideas
  • Taking inspiration from the open fire cooking in Zibo, China, we've created this spice mix to give Chinese style flavours to your favourite meat & veggies.
  • The mix contains a small amount of sugar to help with adhesion but does not contain salt. If you would like to add salt then sprinkle according to preference, before marinade or dry rub.

MARINADE RECIPE

  • Quick marinade recipe for oriental flare on meat, poultry or vegan alternatives.
  • Add the following ingredients and mix until well combined: 1 tbsp chinese bbq blend, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp water.
  • Add to food of choice & leave to marinade ideally in an airtight container or ziplock bag.
  • Leave for a minimum of 30 minutes or for maximum flavour; 3-6 hours.

DRY RUB

  • The Chinese bbq mix can also be used as a dry rub. Sprinkle over meat or veggies of choice along with a glug of olive oil & massage until evenly spread.
